Thera4Care @ EATRIS Spotlight Programme

This half-day EATRIS Spotlight event, within the Imaging & Tracer macro-area, addresses “Inclusion and Equity in Medicine and Biomedical Research”, exploring how advanced imaging technologies, tracer development, AI-driven data ecosystems and equitable Health Technology Assessment (HTA) frameworks can help reduce disparities in precision medicine at European and global level. Sessions will examine the role of imaging and tracers in early diagnosis, patient stratification and therapy monitoring; equity and bias in imaging datasets and AI models; structural, economic and digital barriers to access, including the specific challenges faced by Low- and Middle-Income Countries; and the role of HTA in translating imaging innovation into policy and healthcare systems. By drawing on complementary European initiatives — THERA4CARE, EUCAIM, EDIHTA— the workshop aims to foster multidisciplinary collaboration and generate actionable recommendations for a more inclusive and globally accessible imaging ecosystem.
